Don't judge a book by it's 'loose' cover

lol
Really, I can't comment, as I usually remove dustjackets and file them away. I prefer the hardback look anyway.
I'm not Compulsive or Obsessive!
Kitchen-sink psychology, I'm afraid... i.e. keep everything.
Does it have anything to do with the fact that I never throw anything away? Probably.
More distressing is the fact that I still insist on keeping ice cream tubs—just in case they ever come in handy!!!
Ahhh, but the sweet joy when you need one for something, and it's there
Don't know why—just always been the same. And my hearty collection of dustjackets is living up to it's name—they're gathering dust. Actually, in fact I think I probably have 'moved on' some of the books but still have the DJ's LOL
Fortunately, in the modern day and age, books are still the 'best' medium... and that's conclusive.
Is your eBook collection ever going to have the dustjacket problem? I don't think so.
Same applies to the 'paperless office' theory. I can't ever see it happening. In fact, in my office, computers generate MORE paperwork than ever before. But I digress.
Hardbacked books should be read WITHOUT the dust jacket. That way, all your problems are over
