Is there room for a newbie at this meet 2mrw?
I don't normally work in the West End but tomorrow, as synchronicity would dictate, I am working in Charing Cross in a shop you might know.. called Davenports
The shop shuts at 4.30 so that's when I would be be able to join you.. assuming you're not already hassling me and Phil in the shop.
Oh and please.. if you are visiting the shop later in the day, please don't come up to the counter and ask to see something "really good and visual" as by about 3pm I will no doubt start to loose the plot (if today is anything to go by) and that sort of statement really gets on my nerves.
They come in and ask ("they" being the "annoying-customers":
"have you got anything new that is really visual, examinable, can be done without a table, self working and I can do at a party tomorrow night so I have no time to practice?".
I am dying to respond with "are you sure you don't want to consider something really c*** (not the best), totally unexaminable, using complex sleight of hand that you won't master in 5 years? Most people do!" but Betty would kill me, I fear.
I'm standing in for the regular people who have been syphoned off up to Blackpool.
And I don't know everything in the catalogue. So bear with me. Or ask Phil (he's the younger and smarter one

).
Ok?
