Postby stevebo » May 9th, '08, 12:07

Hey guys. I thought it might be interesting to find out what magician's do by day.

I am currently studying architecture in Bath, but I think I might go into another sort of design work after I (hopefully) get my RIBA part 1 after 4 years.

Next! :D

Now that's what I call a job title. :D

Unfortunately, mine is nowhere near as impressive as that. I work for London Underground as a Train Operator (Tube driver, basically). Best job I've ever had, I love it.

By day I'm a graphic/web designer.

I'm also trying my hand at writing a novel and have a few screenplay ideas running through my head.

Jah Wobble, responsible for the thundering bass line to "Public Image" by PIL, was once a tube driver.

I'm in my 4th year of training to be like my wonderous avatar. A doctor, that is.

Lomster, do you have any online photos of your work? I have a friend who has done some beautiful artwork (mostly photos and sculptures) and one thing I've promised myself is that when I can afford it (so one day, perhaps, maybe  ) I'll buy artwork from friends etc... if it's good, obviously! I think it's so much nicer if you know the artist rather than yet another Picasso print. To have paintings and sculptures around your house and be able to say "I went to school with her", "she kicked me in the virtual shins" or whatever!
