Because of the psychology of this effect it can actually be done in a spectators hand once you've shown them it in yours, but they have to believe it will move.

it takes a bit of bravado but when it turns in the spectaters hand they just melt

after all they have examined the key before hand, its never left there sight and now there doing it themselves

I think this would be ideal for a begginer.
Easy to learn, instant reset, examinable every thing you could want in a trick. Eventhough i dont have much experience i now agree this is acctually a good effect.

Mine arrived in the post today and I'm not disappointed at all.

At first I was a bit gutted that I could have used a key from home - our garage key is remarkably similar, but having tried it with said key and found it a lot harder, I'm pleased I've got this well-balanced shiny steel one.

I'm having trouble with the turning speed at the moment - I'd like it to go a bit faster - but I think I'm just going a bit too carefully. Another couple days and it'll be fine.

I'd recommend buying one, and, now I've read this thread, I have a few ideas as to how to use it. The three routines included with the instructions are alright, but, as with most effects, finding your own little routine is always better.

Tomorrow I'm gonna see if it opens the safe at work...

zack have replied to your equiry, remember the slower the better speed killls this effect and cheepen's it.
just my opinion as a seasoned key user.

For all those who purchased the steel colored keys in the black plastic boxes, and without tipping my methods on it, I will let you know that they are ehhem "attractive" if you get my meaning PK users will know what I mean

We all buy things from time to time that we think are a waste of money but you can't find much these days that will keep you entertained for £7.00. That's 2 pints of beer in most night clubs for heaven's sake!

Personally I don't use the key but have seen a number of magicians who have used this and drawn gasps from their audience because of the way that they have used it.

its a shame that the key that compliments the golden key is so pooor otherwise i'd recomend the pair as a great one two magic punch.

now theres an idea for thoughs out there with the clout, make a decent combination and i'll buy it.

You mean the golden key with the moving bits on it? Or the golden haunted key?

sorry i'd have thought that was obviouse considering the thread, yes i ment the haunted key part is not good enough for the job.
the cogs make to much noise and throughs the whole unit out of ballance .

I tried the magic key in my fiancees hand last night - and it totally freaked her out. I'd never shown her this trick before, and it was a perfect moment !

I'd been having a bit of a sort out and the room was a mess, but as usual, when ever I go anywhere near my magic boxes, I have a quick run through of some of the tricks. As a result, my 'Key' was right next to my work keys on the desk, and she started talking about my magic and I said that I'd like to involve her in some tricks as I bet she would be good. "Look, lets try something a bit daft with my key to the office. Just hold the key like this, and I'll steady your hand"....



By distracting her with the winding finger she didn't notice me doing the business!! Excellent and really freaked her out!!
