Why would anyone ever even consider implanting a magnet into their body? Who knows what the health implications would be if the magnet started to break down or corrode. I certainly wouldn't want to risk it, your health is far too valuble than to risk for a few magic tricks.

This was discussed long ago... I think it was here or at the Bunny

Sorry to repeat, then.

I searched both when I found the links and before posting and couldn't find it on either board.

Not only that, a good piercer will tell you that there's a very high chance your flesh will gradually push the piece out if it's in certain parts of the body. Most eyebrow piercings do this, as do some nipple and navel piercings. My nipple piercing was set especially deep to prevent rejection and it REALLY hurt like hell going in. I removed it after several years (catching it on clothing is no fun) and just have a couple of discrete "grommets" of scar tissue where my barbell entered and exited.

Would it not be easier to magnetize the objects needing to be lifted and to make your fingers metal in some way. Other than that how good are you with liquid latex.

Having my nipple pierced was the single most painful thing I have ever done. It was however strangely erotic as it was done by a rather attractive goth girl.

I took it out after a few weeks. Just couldn't get on with it. No scars I'm happy to report, just another story to tell the grandkids.

ouch! There's no way I'd ever get my nipple pierced, having my belly button done was bad enough.

I had my nipple pierced some twelve years back now.

At the time, I was told that I might loose sensation in said nip-end (shrug).

About two weeks later, after said loss of sensation did occur, I noticed that the skin of my entire nipple seemed to have hardened (in the same kind of way that the skin around a really deep cut will go hard).

A few days later, I was having a bath, and this hard skin just peeled right off - I had an exact, replica nipple, made from dead skin, and a lovely pink, fully-sensitive nipple underneath

My girlfriend at the time was somewhat non-plussed when I presented her with my 'Dead Skin Nipple', as a gift - I thought it was quite romantic, myself

I still have my piercing to this day (truth be told, I'm afraid to try to take it out   )

... but there are those that have weighed the idea of magnetic implants set into the bone of a finger-tip and possibly a slightly stronger (larger) unit mounted in one of the knees.

... I've since figured other ways of accomplishing clean magnetic effects

I was going to have my right testicle removed and replaced with a neo magnet.

to see if i could attract more girls.

Reminds me of the Bill Bailey idea for trapping aliens by making fields of velcro to stop crop circles, only the space ships would have to have the corresponding velcro.
