All I need to do now is remember what the hell you all look like. Will there be a perfromance mat in evidence?

I'll probably have a giant marl t-shirt with the phrase "Will work for bandwidth" scribbled on the front.

Although we were once told to put the cards away or leave when we were in The Coal Hole - but they seem to have relaxed that rule lately.

Yeah this guy was giving it the whole, who owns this magic set thing you can't do that in here.

He was rightly put in his place by those far more knowledgable than me to which his response was "get out of my pub we don't want your sort in here and you're never welcome back"

Interesting! I'll give you the full story on tuesday night if you're coming down. More than that happened, almost comical the way part of the rest of the night went.

He he... psychology in the real world. I will not be told what I can and can't do by some overweight, jumped-up little hitler who doesn't even know why he's telling me to stop doing something. Anyway, we know where to avoid, got a sip of drink, all the money back, a bit of excitement, and I have a feeling his staff were laughing at him. You should have heard the bad noise he was giving me when he realised that he was giving out full refunds. I expect he'll have to explain it to his management, but that wilful inability to think pragmatically will keep him working on Saturdays for far longer than he needs, so really, he's his own punishment.

The backstreet boozer we ended up in was great, even if we were a bit late for food. Very welcoming, great beer, even an enthusiastic audience in the shape of young Amy. What was it called? The Crown and Anchor? A thoroughly nice pub. Vicky behind the bar was saying that lots of other groups meet there in the week, including one interested in Sci Fi.

Great link Tomo I'll be sure to leave a review tonight.

It was quite nice that guy coming over and asking if we'd come back every saturday as they loved watching the magic from afar.

Sadly next time it'll be up close for them :)

I got threatened with being launched across piccadilly gardens right after you left. All for a bit of magic, didn't realise i was that bad :) :)

I don't think there was much of an audience at Kro last night, sadly

Was a good day anyway, had lots of fun and the crown and anchor was a great place to mess around with magic. Just a shame they weren't making food that day. We should go back there again next time :)

If you're going to complain in a review about the Brunswick, use a false name but your real email address. That way, if the false name starts getting odd emails, you know where they've come from

Ah it was great fun!

Crown and Anchor I think is the perfect kinda place to kick off and stay in actually. Beer wasn't too expensive for a Manchester Pub, good choice of Ales, great bar staff and regulars.

Done my lovely review will full facts etc, least the bar will get it even if it doesnt get published.
