It is I , don't worry folks I am not staying long....
But in recent conversations with the Great Greedoniz the man who put Ma in to magic. We have discussed what was the highlight of the magical calendar, The TM monthly meet , some of you may say its Blackpool others will say the I,B.M convention and Simon Shaw will tell you it is Ipswich of all places! But I spit on all them.
The London meet up is the place to be. In meets of the past there has been :
A rather interesting train journey of mystery, well kent
A visit to a magic shop
Chilli sauce melt down
More beer sunk then George Best could handle will out on the lash with Ollie Reed.
Rock n Roll
Sex
And of course Magic, entertaining all and sundry in pubs, bars and kebab shops across London's west end. Collectivity we must have performed for over 1000 people. What is better then having your peers on hand to give you good advice after you finished a set, what will give you confidence like having some of the top magicians in London standing behind you and saying go on son.
We also help each other with routines and sleights it is a worth experience and it don't cost much. All we ask is you talk basically and take some gentle ribbing. Its learning in the trenches at its very best. You could go out and keep back LIVE [I/] or you could sit at home perfecting a DL and putting it on youtube. But is that really what its about? I say No sir , the rush of adrenaline , the admiration of your audience and biting the bullet and doing something on your Saturday. Or you could just be a youtube magician, then wonder why people take the Mick when you say you do magic and ask if you do kids shows.
It is often said people don't care about what we do, well if we are not taking it on the streets, bars, pubs and houses of ill repute who will?
I am master of misdirection, look over there.
We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.
