The bottom line is, since Brand lost his writing partner, he's quickly slid down hill. Putting Ross in the same room as him was dangerous.

However, the show was recorded - so more fool whoever was suppose to check it for content. New Year - expect both of them to be on channel 4 or 5; big money, big ratings.

I heared the show; and i think that considering Ross is what, 47? He should have known better - perhaps he just got carried away. I like Ross, he's done well over the years, and i actually like the fact he forever steamrollers over big american movie stars. I find that amusing. They're there to plug something - he's there to say rude things.

Brand has become his own point of reference. And indeed, reverence. He needs to re-Brand, and move on. Technically, what they said about the grand-daughter was true.

However, if i had a kid, and someone rang me up to tell me that they'd slept with them - i'd be quite angry and wanting to have "revenge". It's only natural, and i feel if you think otherwise - well, simply, you're not being honest with yourself.

I think Brand's overrated and Ross is a smug tw*t. So any excuse to suspend/admonish/penalise them is fine by me.

That said, I think the whole thing has gone too far, especially given that the BBC must have known they were playing with fire when they took Brand on. And, as has been mentioned, why air it in the first place...

It has been blown out of propoertion but ross bores me and I think brand was a comedy genius when he did the big brother show but since he left he hasn't really done to much to appeal to me so I don't see it has such a disaster if anything I think it could be a good thing, hopefully ross will retire a Brand will go somewhere else and get back to his best

Fortunately, we are all entitled to our opinions. Personally, I think both Ross and Brand should be hung publically in London, their heads cut off, and displayed on the gates at York for us to throw rotten tomatos at. To be honest, I think that should have happened to Ross years ago.

Bring back morals and decency. Ringing people up and being rude is neither funny nor entertainment. Don't we have enough c*** (not the best) from america without permitting it here. I feel very sorry for Sachs.

Thank goodness I'm entitled to my opinions, unless I offend the PC brigade :?

With wonderfully ironic timing, I noticed today that Jonathan Ross' autobiography is being sold at half price in Tesco. The title is, "Why do I say these things'! You couldn't make it up!

I find both Ross and Brand very likeable. I haven't heard any of the radio material in question though because while I love Russell Brand's stand-up and writing, I don't enjoy the radio show.

What does tick me off slightly is that all of 2 actual listeners of the show complained - the rest were tag-a-longs once things had exploded in the news... apparently the Daily Mail had a link at the bottom of their online coverage of the story, saying, "if you wish to send a complaint about their actions, click here..."

I really hate this witch hunt culture, though it's hardly new. If someone goes too far and does something naughty or over the top - APOLOGISE! Slap them on the wrists - dock their pay, a public apology, whatever - and let them get back on with it. Let's be adults about this, for goodness' sake - to err is totally and utterly human. Quite why every single bl**dy thing requires multiple firings or resignations is beyond me - all it teaches people is that if you do something wrong, you better not admit it otherwise your head will roll! A dangerous lesson to learn.
