I've posted in the "Oop North" thread, which from what I gather seems to be a Wakefield meet. What I really meant to do was to post in this Manchester thread to announce my Talk Magic debut, if you'll have me. If you could kindly let me know just before the 22nd Nov which fine nocturnal drinking establishment you shall be frequenting I will gladly be in attendence for a an hour or two. Hopefully one or 2 of eBay's magical offerings shall be acquired by said time, to be deployed with applomb on the suspecting crowd of fellow magis. It'd be great to see some magicians in action too.

Ah hello

All are welcome and glad to see you can make it,

Can i take it that the 22nd is most agreeable?

I feel in fine fettle and form following two successful gigs last weekend, I shall this time only becoming armed with tested material unless I feel confident enough with a couple of items I've been working on,

As for establishment? I'm open to suggestions as well. I'm never one to complain, I prefer decent people and decent drink not bothered about the price but after last month I'll go where the masses suggest,

Here's to another good turn out!

Maybe we should give one of the punters in a pub a sealed prediction, and when we get chucked out, we ask him/her to open it and read what it says. It says: "We're going to get chucked out!" :D

That's not a prediction, it's stone cold certainty!

heh, I think we've been the cause of one each right?

Ah well, if people start giving me the names of some busy pubs they know of with a good trade etc etc I'll write or phone the bar and ask their permission in advance.

It's so always your fault, Tomo. We have lovely and peaceful meets when you're not around. We never get any bother from anybody!

So, able to make the next meet, mate? ;)

(A friday night near christmas sounds a cool idea!)

Yes, but if it please the court, let the record show that I was actually making my way out of The Moon Under Water at the time, and was unaware that Agecroft (exhibit A) was performing a trick. I came back to watch it, whereupon I was accosted by someone now known to me as an employee of Witherspoons and who tried to delegate his job (unpaid, mind you), of escorting Exhibit A from the premises. Or something.

Tell you what, the next time it happens, what say we all go into a Withnail & I-esque shouty scene, full of phrases like "We're coming back in here, you know! We're coming back in here and we're bringing assistants!"

They had a full on disco going on that same night so no idea why they're saying they don't have an entertainments license.

So place suggestions please and who's coming on the 22nd so far?
