I'm going to try to work out if there is a Manchester, Wakefield, London, or wherever meet, but I will be presumptious, and assume that because this post is called 'MANCHESTER MEET', that it might be something to do with it. This is almost too confusing to follow. If I can work out where and when it is, I will try to get there. Sounds like a good idea, but if it's just a p**s-up, then I apologise, but I'll give that a miss.

Gary,

It's in manchester and not just a * up. Though some drink. Everyone basically shows each other what they've been working on, a little bit of advice is passed around and quite a bit of performing is done for the general public.

It eventually turns into a * up though but feel free to leave by then :)

I was going to suggest the 29th as the 22nd is inconvenient for me but it looks like it's full steam ahead with the 22nd.

Disappointingly it's unlikely I'll be able to make it due to family commitments (as ever!) but we'll see; it may be I can get a babysitter for the evening and join you later but the afternoon is awkward.

Shame, as last time was very valuable to me.

What time would the meet be happening and where?

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

I might have to make it this week, I rather enjoyed the last one I turned up to. We shall see anyway,

same place, same time? (remind me, what was the time?)

12 noon, I don't think we've decided on a place yet..?
Shall we make it somewhere near the train station again to make it easier for the none-manchester people?

I'll get the right pub this time too, I promise

So looks like it could be another great turn out for the Mancester Meet

Shall we say the other bar (not balcony bar) that is in the piccadilly station from 12 till 1 ish and people if you have a preference then please let me know other wise I suggest we all go down oxford road, pubbing it along the way until we end up in Odder or Kro 2 down that way.

Footage is a huge busy place as well and these three places will have a passing trade, nice ales in the case of the first too, cheap ale in the case of the 3rd one. Its student land as well which is why it'll be busy.

See you guys next saturday

With a bit of family juggling it looks like I should be able to make at least the afternoon after all.

I'm a bit more confident now having done lots at our staff do (big hotel meal with over 100 staff there) on Friday night, with only the first trick (bu**er!) going slighty awry at the very end when the spectator caught a glimpse of something she shouldn't (which completely distracted her from the magic ho ho!). Lesson learned.

Anyway for those who are vaguely interested in my journey on here I managed to pull off 15 effects, most several times, including REHAB TnR, Smoke (without the...smoke), ACR with an Omni Deck finish (THANK YOU ROB!), This That & the Other, Defaced, Extreme Mental Effort, and one bit of mentalism in the form of Bob Cassidy's 4th Dimensional. Oh and Developmental which I've raved about on here and possibly went down better than anything.

Anyway...I digress but just wanted to share what was an achievement for me. Thanks for lots of encouragement along the way.

So back to the 22nd. All being well, will see you there.

Tim

It involved a certain purchase if that's what you mean. If Derren can stoop that low...

He jokes about using a s***ed, m***ed deck (subtle). Thats how I actually do it :P it over complicates things so much, but I dont see any problem in trying to make things a little more complicated.

Oh right. Wow. I was reading your message the reverse way. Clever you. And you manage to time it exactly right? Impressive.

No I took the easy route but only at the end of an evening of doing much harder stuff. Honest!
