If they are struggling and failing you are in like Flynn.

Giggling is fine. Encourage it and if possible link it to what is happening.

Today, I did my first induction ever on my girlfriend. I started with the magnetic palms set piece then did the Hand Eye Fixation induction.

All I was able to do was make her arm go up, but I had a blast doing it. She insisted she felt her watch pulling her arm up!

I need to work on having other things happen...

Yes, Mandrake is correct, but what seems to be omitted is the 2nd part of CUPS.
As I learned it, some years ago, it was: I've got CUPS and the balls to admit it! :)

That is great news sleightlycrazy. That rising arm is something you can springboard off of. The next step is to do exactly that agin only this time associate that arm lifting with a change in emotion. I normally go for laughter. See 'Briefest Therapy'.

Recognize that you are creating a series of moments and use each moment to intensify things or link to the next bit of phenomena.

By moments I mean, the hand moves, it leaves the leg, it gets closer, it actually touches the face, you click fingers and it drops down. Each is a moment you can use.

Just received the book and DVD and I'm very excited. I will start reading it on Sunday when my 10 days business trip starts (and will have more free time, being free from father duties :) ).
Also I have to add that even though I had my share of good customer support before, the support and communication with Anthony is a unique experience. Very friendly and helpful, he also send a pdf preview of the book while I was waiting for the book to arrive plus pdf supplements to the book after I received it. Amazing !
Congratulations and many thanks again Anthony.

Hi Sleightlycrazy,

Please email me directly and tell me where to email the supplements too. I know we have corresponded but I am struggling to find your email address.

Same goes for any other RIPpers who I have not sent the supplements to.

Recieved my copy this morning after ordering late Sunday night.
This is a well produced, easy to follow "idiot guide" to hypnotism.
I can't wait to put some of this into practice, just want to make sure I have everything firmly in my mind before I try.

Thanks Anthony :D

hey

Postby spudgun » Nov 25th, '08, 19:53

just wanted to update folks ive been doing this now for about a month and its stunning stuff. I tend to do some magic and then go into the hypnotism as it seems to be a huge aid in me, coming off at least, as "the hypnotist"....i have a couple of wee thoughts and queries for folks tho. Im currently terified of trying the hand shake induction but tend to go through the full 3 set piecies and have them struggling to bend their arms (i mean its very impressive) also im sure my outward appearence of nonchalant almost arogance is doing wonders (even tho im cacking it im a great actor)......but....can i at this point go strait into deepening and then add the super suggestion.????i kind of think i probably can but just wanted folks thoughts

Also and this may be aquestion for the more learned of you on the subject (like anthony etc) but im a nurse right and think that posibly there might be a nobel prize waiting for someone who uses this in palliative care. what i mean is ive never seen it as a form of analgesia prescribed. But do anymore acomplished hypnotists think that its possible or is it ethically too much of a minefield.....also and i dont want to sound like Dr Frankenstien but has there ever been any studies with hypnosis and the placebo effect (i know thats ethically irresposible but......i think its a thought).....i have few musings on this but too mad to actualy post
