We recommend the following magic dealers...

Postby B0bbY_CaT » Mar 15th, '09, 11:12

From time to time, members ask about the reliability of magic dealers, both online and brick and mortar type retailers. Perhaps it would be helpful for those of us with positive stories to identify the dealers who have looked after us and provided excellent service.

I can start with World Magic Shop, happily changed an item I ordered incorrectly, excellent communication.

any others?

A great magic dealer give you great service time after time and not just on one occasion.

A great magic dealer will also help you with what you buy byofering advice on how it can be used, perhaps incporporated into your act and a great magic dealer will understand everything he sells.

For being consistently good and reliable, I would go with Alakazam, The Card Collection, Magic Magic, World Magic Shop, Magicbox and Magic Nevin. The last two have a price match policy, which is nice. To be honest, I find most of the main magic dealers to be very good.

My experiences - a mixture of problem solving, variety of stock, prices, and quickness of delivery...

For the UK:
top secret magic
mr e
cards4magic
magic tricks.co.uk
magicshop.co.uk
alakazam
dude thats cool magic (terrible name though - sorry guys)

For the USA:
hocus pocus
steven's magic emporium

that was when it was two dollars for every pound, and ultra fast 3 day delivery cost only 15 quid...

forgot to add that bearing in mind Sankeys stuff comes from Canada (i think) delivery is still pretty quick. He also regularly has good sales which make up for the delivery charge.

Oh and although not a dealer per se, BBM also get top marks
