My performance of one of Sankey's little gems:

For what it is... I think it's a very creative effect. He really has a knack for creating visual beauty in effects.

it would have nicer to have a full on scripting to the effect too...

you seem quite fast paced in your speech and performance style, i would have liked it more if the ship going into the bottle had a slower reveal to it personally...

you could even tell the tale of how getting a ship into a bottle looks impossible, and you like the impossible...and that as many times as people look at two objects, and conciously realise they just won't fit or work out together...you see things differently...that you like making the impossible happen...

ship goes into bottle, everyone is amazed...you put on a smoking jacket, you pour yourself a cocktail, dance with a girl called Betty and the night has just begun...

Of all the Sankey stuff I've seen, can't say I've seen that one before.

I know it's hard for things like this but you need to work on making the pictures match up. The one that you went to looked a lot different to the original if you see what I mean.

Also the wristkill action seemed a bit clumsy.
I don't know if you'd normally do this if you had a table in front of you but I always found the best way to get that action smoothly was to turn the deck down, thumb the card off and table the deck.

Don't know if any of that makes any sense so apologies if it doesnt!

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

lol yeah I know what you mean.

Yeah... I'm usually always a bit more clumsy just on camera on certain days.

Because... It just feels unnatural to me given that I'm not ACTUALLY talking to anyone lol.

Not to say that I have my performance style in real life down either, I'm still trying to get it naturalistic and 'me'. But yeah... On an actual person I would of done this better... You know, when you've got somebody responding to you and... It's just better.
