Not bad. One or two good laughs, looking forward to the others.

Humour, like music, is a very subjective thing. One man's meat and all that. I haven't watched this yet but I don't have particularly high hopes for it; I will pass judgement when I've seen it.

come on now, this is just the first stage of the grieving process - the denial that its happened...then it will be the anger, then the sensation of being adrift and detached and finally, after coming through such a horrible experience, you will be able to admit to it all and finally look back on it and take it for what it was...

say goodbye to red dwarf.... :)

The cats lilac suit with the flares and the dirt conversation at the end. Also the story of Holly's death was good as was Rimmer's dressing down!

My thoughts at the end of each part were:

First episode: Very weak, will bother watching the rest only for sake of completeness.
Second episode: Hmm, getting interesting.
Third episode: Whoo! Worth it.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS IN THIS POST.

I think it was a little weak too. I also felt the whole mood of it was a little too serious and dramatic at times.

Also wasnt too impressed with the continuation errors and the made up back-story of episodes that apparently don't even exist.

When they said they were doing a new Red Dwarf I thought 'great, they'll carry on right where they left off' but they didn't. It sort of felt like an excuse to use the license and it almost felt completely removed from the main story.

The ending was a bit poor too. Akin to the cheap 'it was all a dream' conclusion which is a massive cliche these days.

I enjoyed it, superficially. But I was still a little disappointed.
Nice to see some of my local points of interest though. John Lewis, Kingston, and Im sure that comic shop is the one in Richmond...
