Okay. Thanks. Once again, I don't really want a beard, just a little fuz or something on the chin.
Yes, I've definitly thought it might be about the color. My hair is dark now, but while a kid, it was very light. I think my facial hair is coming out light at first before darkening too.

I think most folk here would agree that a 'little fuzz' is worse than having nothing there at all. The whole 'Catweazel' thing is never a good look! Because of work coupled with a really heavy growth I usually end up shaving twice a day.... which is a total pain. Enjoy your carefree, hairfree days whilst they last. My chest hair has now moved north to shake hands with the stuff on my chin and whilst my back is relatively smooth there are a few worrying patches of 'Brundlefly' hairs appearing which have to be removed with mole grips and kept inside the bathroom cabinet... (knew I should have checked the molecular transformer before getting in!)

On a different tack... the ultimate shaving film has to be Laurel and Hardy in 'Busybodies'. When Ollie gets the paintbrush glued to his chin and 'shaved' off by Stan using a jack plane.... (any other 'Sons of the Desert' about?)

My lovely Colin was in the army with no more than a tiny bit of "bum fluff" on his face. Had to shave every day anyway (army regs). He thinks the daily shaving might have encouraged it to grow -- but then it might just have been the passage of that bit more time.

My father never really had facial hair, possibly because he was one-quarter Cherokee. I remember him once trying hard to cultivate a moustache. After a week or two he managed to look like he had a dirty mark on his face.
