I'm sticking with the original and I would have thought that if you had handling problems with V1 then you're just as likely to still have them with the upgrade.
The newer edition won't solve handling problems - practice will.

The way I perform it, most of the time the coins in my hand are not seen so neither would 2 sharpies.
