there are a number of soulutions to this problem.

urine for example, rubbed into the skin can in time toughen it.

lets not forget another stunt, extinguishing a lit cigarette on the tongue.

I seem to recall that an olive oil gargle helps dissipate the heat.

but dont try this, until you have spoken to someone who does it, as i might be wrong.

that said, my mate can do this, any place, any time. no secret to it... he just does it! ( then swallows it whilst its still smouldering)

How about Dis-Jointed, where you put your palm flat on the table and twist your hand through over 360 degrees, then you snap your arm at the elbow? I got the DVD for that half-price from MagicBox, it's really easy to do and looks really freaky. Haven't had an opportunity to perform it yet, and perhaps never will, but it was one of those things that I just had to purchase to know how it's done.

theres all the meir yeddid finger stuff. that almost works better at a distance. and if you can arange a camera, and a screan for people to watch " up close" i doubt you will get anything stronger.

Just get married on stage. It's excrutiating at times and you'll be able to show the scars for years to come, with new ones appearing all the time

I open my stage show with "thread" and saw together, cliche i know but it gets great reactions, i do have a big screen so people can see it up close. Highly recomend it.

Just a thought

Indeed - I finalised it with my team a few months back - thread is included with a screen, and a nice little presentation and story

I should have posted my updates on here really ;)

I had an epic idea with an audience member a few days ago as well...but lets keep quiet on that one for now...

and my finale?

also epic :P

ooooh 'ark at her! "my team" is it?!

well, your team can jolly well think up your ideas then...

why not put yourself in a cage, dressed as a badger - with a small pack of dogs on viagra?

well I needed to check with "my team" aka technical support - you cannae perform on stage alone! I needed to check everything I wanted to do was possible on the stage I have, with the facilities at hand

And Iain - with relation to the viagra idea - great advice, as always ;)

Tom Mullica's cigarette routine is a good one, and the audience will totally believe that it hurts like hell. Because it does.

Cheers for everybody's advice!

I've got what I needed - a spark of an idea. It's still developing, but I'm hoping to have thought up an idea that to my knowledge has never been done on stage before...

Oooooh I'm excited :D

I know this is late LOL but just wondered if Wayne houchins control would be good by choosing an audience member, also sick by sean fields with a big screen or I agree with the guy that said it before dis-jointed would be good.j
