Hmmm - if you're going to germ over everybody then maybe I won't go. I had enough of that after seeing Greg Wilson infect the whole of the UK a few weeks back.

If by complicated toggles and switches you mean, "Launch this application and click this button to start recording. Then click this button to stop."

Yes yes I can.

If you mean, "What is this thing with the glowing button on it and I was told there would be magic dancing elves to do my bidding." well then no :)

But seeing as you made it to the web I think it improbable you are the latter.

Well I went along and it was great. Exactly as described, a perfect "introduction to mentalism". Being a cardie it was really good to see another side of magic and be shown so many routines that play big and allow for major presentation aspects, but are so simple technique-wise. I must dig out 13 steps and give it proper read!

F.A.M.E. was a small and friendly group and I think I'll visit them again some time. Especially as my £5 fee to attend resulted in me winning a rare magic book and a "Lotto" ticket - result!

Thanks Lyndon!

Well considering, that i have never lectured before - I think it went rather well.

I covered:

1. Al koran's Medallion (My own version)
2. A Pendulum Effect using ESP cards.
3. A Newspaper Prediction.
4. My handling of OOTW.
5. Magick & Mindreading (Own Effect)
6. A Drawing dupe (Kind of)

7. Lottery Bank night (My version of this classic)
8. Lazy Man's Kurotsuke
9. The Magic Square
10. Tossed out Deck (Without the Deck - My own version)
11. An Add a Number type effect (Learnt it when i was about 6)

For me the most important points i covered were:
Gleaning Information (Incl peeks & devices) &
The difference between and Magical Effect and a Mental one.

It was good to meet Stoner & Bruce who came guests.

So, when you coming up north? I'd happily pay £20 for an evening like that. :)

LW - where did you get that pendulum from? It looked like a really nice spiral design and was on a good length chain. EvilBay seems to be awash with loads of different sorts, any recommendations? Or just buy any old rubbish for a fiver?
