I don't know what a "false memory" is unless you talk about an implant through hypnotic means, which I do know nothing of.
I think requirements for a real DR effect, are a sufficient large audience, so you eliminate the "after talk" issue just by selecting 2 locally distant individuals.
But to me an DR effect like PK T****es are very strong in themselves, like due to the fact that, at least to me it never dawned on what was really happening, because the key element here is like so often presentation. All performances that I've seen so far, never done one myself. Are keyed about controlling the receiver in the case of the PKT mostly. And keyelement to me is, that you tell the audience what happens and if you convince them during the show, they will believe it afterwards. I think they will try to figure out how you did it, just by their memories, which or course at that point are allready a lil bit messed up, due to the things that you told them during the performance, what and when things happen.
I had an effect long time ago, that I read about, and never performed, but allways left me wondering if it was okay to produce instant stooges and spoil them.
Instant stooges for me are people who are real audience members but due to the nature of the effect become accomplices during the effect, the drawback in becoming an instant accomplice is, that for them the illusion will be destroyed, and even if they talk to nobody afterwards, they have suffered from the insight into the method, so I am strictly against instant stooge victims.
In the case of PKT or DR in general you allways have to "stooge" one part of the audience against the other, but I think whith no former expierence on the topic myself, that the method itself is so strong, that it can with proper misdirection, patter and explanation to the audience about what they expierenced, go well undetected.
Just an opinion.
