I hope that some day I can contribute, but for now I´m learning the basics.
It all started one christmas about 2 years ago when I picked up a copy of "Tricks of the Mind" by Derren Brown. That was it..... I couldn´t put the book down. I read it several times and eventually about 6 months ago I got round to looking in to the "suggested further reading" section at the back of it.
I have since acquired the Corinda book "13 steps to mentalism", Mark Wilsons complete course in magic, Jean Hugards Royal Road to Card Magic, and a few others.
The trouble is getting the time to read all of them!
I´ve already destroyed a few decks of cards by practising so much with them. I´m pretty hooked on this new hobby. I´m looking for a few good books to ensure I get off to a good start in certain areas. These areas are:
Cold Reading (I´ve heard Robert Nelsons "The Art of Cold Reading" is good so that´s the first book I´m going to read
Hypnotism - I´d like to read a GOOD book that gives a decent practical guide on how to get started (although I suppose any good book will start by explaining what hypnotic states are, and any dangers involved etc etc).
Oh, I´m in seville, Spain and with any luck will be trying to get in to the local magic circle.
