I am under the impression Paul Wilson will feature in one.

On his blog there is talk of a time delay between the bbc showing the clip of the lottery and Derren Brown will be revealing justm oment before the draw.....it has been specualted that he will be listening into the on the moment live draw then pretending to predict but......

thsi would not be fascinating nor could we easily do this.....Derren says after watching his reveals you will easilybe able to go and perform them.

Perhaps now is a good time to bring up The System. Mr Brown discovered a way to win every time on the horses.

He didnt really though did he. The cheeky scamster.

Im not too excited really, it wont be what it appears to be.

He is a magician after all.

I agree. Of course we all know here that he wont really predict the numbers.....but personally i do find that exciting - I can't wait to see how it's all done in the end. Should be a good show.

I'm really looking forward to this set of Events as much as i looked forward to all of derren's work. We all know there are methods behind his work, but the showmanship and execution are brilliant. My wife is not really into magic or mentalism, although pays to have her palm read, but she always watches derrens shows and is always intrigued by them. She knows as well that there must be a way he does what he does but accepts it for entertainment. And i'll be watching it on plus one as well to pick up on what i missed before

Derren uses a wide mixture of magic, from the superbly original 'crikey-I-never-would-have-thought-of-that' to the boringly basic and mundane. He's even been known to use a one way forcing deck! Whatever the method, it's the presentation and wrapping which makes it all so entertaining. Predicting lottery numbers is in the same league as the old one where you mail a sealed envelope to someone and ask them to keep it safe for a week or so yet when it's opened it contains numbers only just thought of or that day's newspaper headline. The added intrigue of winning shedloads of money on the lottery adds that extra dimension which Derren is so good at. As for being banned from buying a lottery ticket, yeah right, how easy is that to get round :D !

In his trailer, he does very clearly say

"using misdirection"

It's weird how I become obsessed with things. I really want to see what Paul Wilson plays a part in. Nothing else. Bloody school crushes.

I take enormous pleasure in seeing him, and others use the old mundane methods. and ill continue this train of thought over in the mentalism forum. :)

Dale, all the advertising for the show states that it will be shown across all of channel 4's five channels. I would take this to include e4 so don't know how it would affect the show that is already planned to be broadcast. Unless someone knows different?

Wether he gets it right or fails, it will be a great 10 mins.
