Mmmmmm....
Mouse under polystyrene cup - the mouse would have moved the cup at some point right?
Illegal machine fix? He really would not risk that imho.
Anyway, THE WISDOM OF CROWDS certainly would apply with something like the weight of a cow because some would underestimate and some would overestimate, hence the average would work.
But lottery numbers are completely random regardless of previous selections and so the same rule does not apply. I don't think the group of 24 were actors but that whoever was responsible for the adding up was in on it. Even if you as one of the 24 chose 1 1 1 1 1 1, you would not be surprised if the collective numbers were, say, 24 33 12 39 23 45 and so false additions would not arouse suspicion. Poor buggers.
Also he proved with the coins thing that emotional will-power is nonsense - it was a maths trick - and yet he then tried to say that was how the lottery prediction worked?!
Split screen it is then. On my TV, which can be a bit blocky, the black shadow noticably shifts at the given point.
Did you notice how he read through some of the more outlandish theories first and then added split-screen at the end as if it was equally outlandish? I reckon the guy who didn't push the last ball down properly is now living out the tramp outfit we saw in next week's trailer for real.
Still, Derren, we love ya!
