I'd still love to see a somewhat older Doctor. It saddens me a little to think that today's commercial pressures might play a part in ruling that out. While Tennant has been excellent, it's still a little jarring for someone of my age to see a pasty-faced youngster in the role.
Not one of the names being bandied about excites me, but I'm quite sure that whoever it is will prove to be excellent. (I didn't imagine Catherine Tate would be a disaster, swanning around the universe going 'Am I bovvered?!').
Anyway, what are your thoughts on the possible casting of a black actor? It's been mooted with previous regenerations, but seems more like a real possibility now. There's no precedent in the show for a timelord changing skin colour when they regenerate, but equally nothing to suggest it can't happen. I just fear that it can't be done without seeming like publicity stunt casting, even if that has nothing to do with it.
