Absolutely. There is no reason why Killer Key cannot be done surrounded in my opinion. Keeping your hands moving, and being aware of your angles—combined with the patter—should mean that you can get away with it.

Best to keep the 'plot' until you've shown the 'plucked coin'. That way, there's no heat on you anyway.

yeah, i watched the demo and figured it out quite fast. I have no problem doing it surrounded neither.

Recently I made my own gimmick for this trick and in order for this trick to work correctly you really have to sell the trick to your spectator. The gimmick is very clever and with a simple switch can be examined thourghly before and after. I recommend this trick for anyone looking for something other than a great card effect.
