The Mistress known as Magic has cost many a man (and a few ladies) their relationships; it is a cruel addiction that is subtle and so seemingly innocent... even invisible... until it's too late :?

I just hope out friend don't forget about the big important dates his mate expects him to remember, and goes out and buys an expensive book or effect with the money that should go to dinner and a gift  (Alan Auckerman can give you a solid 15 minute lecture on that one)

As to Your Dilemma... welcome to the club!

Some years ago, the first time I actually got to meet Mark Wilson in the flesh, I accused him of being a cruel man who got young minds addicted to this cursed craft just as drug dealers do the school yard outcasts.

He knew I was joking but he also related to what I was saying and how Magic does become a kind of chronic syndrome for many and the odd fact that most all magic buffs are by nature, pack-rats.

Ironically some of the most well known guys in Magic were addicts to it. Dai Vernon from what I can tell had an almost Monk level OCD when it came to magic. I don't know about Marlo or anybody else tho.
