if you do a google for Stevie, there seems to be a lot of talk about the Rubicks cube shown in the Leno clip.

Its amazing to see how many have not observed what he does.

the cube goes in solved, and comes out slightly scrambled.

two methods may be in play here..

Firstly, before he goes on stage he swallowed Mark Elsdon.

Remember this was the 80s,& Mark was much thinner then.

Secondly..
All but the top layer of the cube are stuck together. as he swallows teh cube, ( which he does) he turns that top layer once with his thumb.

so when it comes back, you get one layer off set.

Its a fantastic bit of business, that highlights the cube swallow.

That episode will be repeated on Fiver/Five USA, and can be seen on the Five catch-up service. It's worth viewing so you can avoid using these techniques in exactly the same way as in the show (if you are remotely bothered).

Although i agree that there are a lot of factors against him actually swallowing them and regurgitating the items at will, Mac King does it with a goldfish but keeps it in his mouth.

Anyhow, somehwere on youtube there is an incredibly funny interview with Mr King in which he explains that the goldfish decided to swim down his throat and then he ended up throwing up his lunch on stage.

That little tangent aside, i am convinced it is half trick half real. I think he keeps them in his mouth and then has some way of holding them in place in order.

On the video on youtube i watched of him doing it on BGT, someone commented that "after watching several of his other performances of regurgitation, i find it strange that he always brings up the number 3 coin first."

This make me think that it is a trick, added to them being dry i think that is strange too. To elaborate even further, a billiard ball is not small, and to be honest i am pretty sure that unless you are abnormal, the usual throat size could not cope with swallowing a billiard ball, especially for someone the size of Stevie.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

but, Watch it, and you will see several of the tricks used to enhance the genuine stuff.

watch for the load and ditch of the key rings.

and watch very close for the second you see both fish in his mouth..

and watch the sugar. More people have wandered how this works. I have 3 words for you to consider.

Dunno about sneaked but tonight it crashed onto the show complete with a bad flute accompaniament - even when played from the music score. Tricks were so-so in this act but by the look of the preview, there's worse to come. With this low level of performance I can see why Simon Cowell hates magicians.....

That flute was terrible! Honestly i was cringing the whole time.

Although i can imagine it being quite a good routine if she could actually play in tune.

I thought that the music would go nicely with the act if she could play that flute. The magic itself I thought was so-so.
