I find RRTCM fine - just wanted to check that if I am spending my time wisely.
The RRTCC was the first card magic book I bought and apart from Erdnase's - Expert at the card table or even Anotated Erdnase I know of no other books that detail the jog shuffle so well......Paul Gordon claims to have taken all his writings on the jog shuffle from Erdnase but I find the RRTCC details it just fine and it has two chapters on this subject! Learn the jog and you will baffle both lay people and magicians too.
There is a lot of great stuff in the RRTCC, forget the patter it belongs in the dark ages but the magic is sound! I still do... Now You See It Now You Don't, whenever I get the opportunity (I have of course, adapted it to my style) but its a killer for lay people.
Other than that, stick with it and when you are ready to move on, as it's already been said there are a lot of other great books out there!
Card College has been mentioned, anything by Jerry Sadowitz, Roy Walton, Marlo, Bill Simon, Edward Brown, Dia Vernon, Simon Lovell, Le Paul, Bro John Hamman, Paul Harris, Peter Duffie, Cy Enfield, Ken Krenzel, John Bannon....I could go on and on but you get the idea!
