two that I do which get good reactions.
Put the £1 on top of the 1p on a flat surface, cup over the top and move the cup in circles. The motion forces the coins together around the inside edge of the cup and when lifted, only the £1 coin remains. Some like to do this with a glass but I think that it gives the game away, although it is visual.
2nd, I put the a silk over the specs palm and put the coins in the same fasion on top of the silk, inside of the palm. Close up the silk by gathering the 4 corners and pull the corners through my wedding ring (can borrow a ring but needs to be large enough). When the coins go through the ring I say look how getting married has cost me money. Undo the silk and only the £1 remains.
I can't remember but variations of these may be included in the Eddie Gibson instructions. 2nd usually gets a laugh as well, particularly at weddings.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
