It's not. The busiest parts of the forum are the unrestricted areas. And the restricted sections do not contain exposure information.

I stand corrected! :D

I didn't mean exposure by the way, but people being open with each other, and saying "swami" etc.

So some magicians DO use cloning!
I really need to be doing more research!

I think there is far too much bloody secrecy about magic. It is sheer lunacy. Where is the harm in the secrets being known? The magic is in the presentation, not the technique.

Long live youtube.

(I don't mean exposing specific techniques of specific performers, but the general first principals that we all use).

I believe the magic is a combination of the technique and the presentation.

Even if you have good presentation but rubbish technique, it won't appear magical.

You don't need to have the sleight of hands of the gods. There are guys out there who have the greatest sleight of hand all time, but they are incredibly boring performers.

There are also guys who have decent-ish sleight of hand skills and are excellent performers. The trick to get a good balance of each and see what works best for you.

Perhaps I should clarify myself.

If you are doing ACR using dl-s, but the audience sees your dl-s, so it can still be magical?

My point is that you should at least have enough technical proficiency to pull off the required effect, failing that, even if the presentation is good the magic will not be there. It'll just be back to the same old fast hands etc. statements.
