It's certainly gives the impression of an owner who's sort of given up and thinks "what's the point of opening, no-one ever comes in". I really hope this isn't the case and that this was a one-off. Imagine the guy's disappointment at missing out on the moolah burning a hole in your pocket!!
By the way, I once owned a record shop and eventually stopped opening because no-one came in and I couldn't face another 8 hours sat in a shop on my own (this was pre-wasting time on the internet, although I did have a wireless if I remember correctly). Trouble is, if you don't open up you can be assured that no-one will be shopping with you!
Hi! this is Mike Danata in Bournemouth, it has been very quiet over the last few weeks, with very few people calling in, & those that do are very focused as to what they want, they come in & say "All I want is some cards" (or whatever) "Don't show me anything else, because I'll want it, & I can't afford it at the moment" so I sell a few packs of cards (or whatever) & off they go! So I can understand some people not wanting to bother to open, I feel that way myself sometimes!
I still open 7 hours a day though, & I have TONS of stock!!!
So come to Bournemouth!!!
All the best!
Mike
