Well someone made a point of that "I was explaining too much" and thereby making it less magical, and I think I must agree.

Example.........

Last night i sat down, switched the television on, and watched a show called restoration road show.

in this people take their broken antiques to be invisibly mended by experts, and then sold.
Interesting premise for a show.. BUT
after about 10 minutes, i turned it off. Why? Because every tiny detail was shown over, and over again.. worse yet, it was described over, and over, and over again in terms that a 3 year old would get.
This is awfull television. It Patronises the audience no end..

I dont need to be told that the man is gluing two pieces of broken china together 20 times, when i can see that's what he's doing once.

And it's the same with magic.
Over descriptive patter and presentations become irratating.

you dont need to describe every step of a journey.. you just say.. turn left at the trafic lights, right at the pub, left at the post office and your there.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

They don't and anyone that thinks they do is bad at audience management.

There, can the mods now delete the 11 pages inbetween the OP and this?
