The Kickass comic is quite different in style and substance, although the storys pretty much the same, I actually preferred the movie. If your new to comics I'd recommend Transmetropolitan. (I'm sure Greedoniz would agree).

I liked the bit where Luke Skywalker booted the comedy character across the room and said "Don't f'uck with the Jedi Master". Also the bit where they are surfing the Internet in the children's play area of McDonalds. But other than that I thought the whole thing was very silly.

The only real problem with it was they had to cram seven comics worth of material into a two hour movie. It wasn't as good as I'd hoped it would be but it was still worth it just for Kieran Culkins performance.

Another smart move was to get pro's to write the songs.

Indeed, they took my words to heart and put a different ending on the movie, one that made sense. And as mentioned before, it was shot before the final volume of the Manga had been thought of, and the writer did comment whe he saw the movie "let's just say that's their ending"

Did you get a writing credit?

Was the original ending going to be Scott ending up with knives?

Anyway i always thought The Stainless Steel Rat would make a great movie as would have had Halo Jones... Tank Girl would have done but they fooked that us badly!

Halo Jones - yes. The VCs even better or the mighty "D.R. and QUINCH". And hopefully the new (proper) Judge Dredd film won't suck like the Sly version.
