He probably won't read this, but good luck to Mark with his lectures this week.

Looking forward to Sunday and the lecture at Treadwells. Still a few tickets left, so hurry along now to www.readerofminds.co.uk

I don't have to read this. I am psychic and knew you wrote it anyway.

Mark! Hello! Hope it's going well. No bar room brawls or other such nonsense?

Not yet. There is still time of course. People just seem to be laughing and enjoying themselves. I am not sure if they were learning anything though. Or if it was useful for them. If any talk magic members were there I shall let them comment for themselves.

I am just back from Mark's lecture. It was all I expected. Thoroughly enjoyable, great fun, and I learnt some nice stuff. Mark was delightfully prickly at times, and I enjoyed his digressions. It is too late now to plug his second set of workshops, but even if you missed Wednesday, go along tomorrow for the fun.

I am looking forward to Paul's session on Sunday. What a feast of delights.

Yes. The great Lord Mandrake was there in person too. Now I actually know what he looks like!

And yes Paul. You can stop trying to subtly plug your own lecture. I already told everyone last night to go to it. And oddly enough today and tomorrow there is ANOTHER seminar on the Tarot in London. Mandrake knows the details. This truly is a psychic week in London.

I did get great amusement from asking for a show of hands as to whom were attending Paul's lecture today. Not a single hand went up. I might have imagined it but I think I detected a smirk of triumph when I looked at Martin's face.
Nevertheless we spiritual psychic people have to stick together and in a spirit of harmony and compassion I did tell everyone to attend Paul's workshop too.
I hope it goes well today.

Mine certainly did despite the fact that there were no troublemakers whatsoever. I was looking forward to all the mischief makers I had been warned about but none were to be found. It seems they were all mouth and trousers. Of course having to pay money to make trouble is usually a good deterrent.

One bit of advice I will give Paul is to be careful if you ask for any questions. Don't do it twice like I did, once before the intermission and once at the end. I did that the first night but it drags things out too long.
Just do it at the end and by then they will be tired and dying to go home so you will get rid of them a lot quicker.
And don't let the questions turn into a debate as psychic matters often tend to do. I did this twelve years ago and the audience were all yelling at each other.
Just give the knowledge and leave the debate for other times and places.
Otherwise you will get bombarded with silly questions and prolong things when all you want to do is go home and count the money.

Yes the pre-order sales of my memoirs went well and Jerry Sadowitz and Mandrake were the first customers. Jerry couldn't stop laughing at all the rude remarks I made about various magicians I don't like. Methinks Martin will be rather busy editing the DVDs for public consumption.

Anyway good luck with it. I got great reactions and feedback and I expect you will too.

Many thanks for your kind words Mark. I have just returned from London and can happily report that the afternoon lecture/workshop went very well indeed. Some great feedback and I managed to get parked right outside Treadwells which is always a bonus.

There were two people in the group who had attended your lecture as well, one of whom was Tony from Ireland. It was nice to meet him and put a face to the internet persona.

I can now reveal that I will be running the "Above & Beyond Cold Reading" lecture at the University of Huddersfield on Saturday 6th November. The event is open to all. Details to be revealed soon.

Mark, you weren't planning on visiting Huddersfield were you?

I understand Huddersfield is in Yorkshire. Under no circumstances will I be there.

Tony and his friend are Irish so it doesn't surprise me that he attended both lectures since the Irish are the best punters in the world recession or no recession. For example I bet there are no empty pubs in Ireland whether there is a recession or not.

The interesting thing is that I heard they both flew in and out TWICE in the same week! Once to see me and once to see you. I bet they would have stayed to see the lectures on Friday and Saturday by well known psychics in a London hotel if they had know about it.

But yet there is method in their madness. Ireland is the best country in the world to be a psychic. The interest has always been phenomenal. I put an advertisement in a Dublin newspaper and I was quite inundated with clients. And in those days I didn't quite know what I was doing either.

Tony will do very well in that country with this stuff.

I am just back from Paul's lecture, and it didn't disappoint. Very enjoyable and I learnt a lot. It was also good to meet him.
I travelled alone this time; my friend is Irish and talks too much. Also, I don't want someone near me being able to do what I do.
Just on a point of information; one in five pubs in Ireland has closed in the last five years. But I am hoping the psychic business is more resilient.
Both sessions were completely different, but there were some common features. Both Paul and Mark dwelt on the importance of ethics, and both men also suggested that is is worth the effort to learn the traditional meanings of the lines in the palm, etc. Both sessions were very enjoyable and very well worth attending.
My only regret is that Mark didn't give out about other magicians on the nights I attended!
I also caught a good juggler in Covent Garden, so all and all a good day out.

Good God! Things must be tough in Ireland if pubs are closing. I am afraid the stereotype of the Irish being big drinkers is the only one that is actually true. Oddly enough they don't get particularly drunk but they certainly know how to imbibe the stuff.

Never fear. If Tony missed me insulting anybody it might appear on the DVDs Martin is putting out of the seminar. On the other hand he might edit it all out. We shall have to wait and see.

Pub closures aren't confined to Ireland, apparently 4 pubs close each week in England on average. Some open again as puib/restaurants or wine bars but not as just pubs.
