bob when yours arrives you will know as much as we and I'm sure you read the forum rules like we all did when we joined.

which style did you buy as the gimmick varies across the range in aplication and design and each has its own handleing?.

if you invent a magic prop please let us know how it works then we can tell anyone who askes how its done then they wont need to buy it from you, everyones a winner.

Why's that? bob70011 asked a question and I answered it in the simplest way I could, seeing as it was such a simple question. If, perhaps he had phrased his question a little better, with proper grammar, punctuation (something we can all benefit from) and simple courtesy (the guy hasn't even bothered to post an introduction) then I would have been happy to help. As it stands I personally think that his line of questioning was quite rude. And before you start saying, "why should grammar matter on the internet, etc." I'll tell you why I think it matters. I would never dream of going up to a professional/more experienced magician and straight off asking "Tell me how you do this trick....". It is simply rude, and in this instance this is the written equivelant.

I've said this in the open forums (rather than PM) because I think it needs to be said for everybody to see. If however, Mianon you want to continue this, can I suggest you PM me.

All the best,

Will Wood

I totally agree with Goldfish - open forums should be there for a general purpose beneficial to the community which obeys the rules set in the first place.

If you want to just know how a trick is done, I suggest you buy it or read a book, but it will definitely not help you to simply ask on an open forum to give away secrets that people live on.

Some sites do this but, in my experience of Talkmagic, it is not the case here and its members are very respectful of the rules. This is why I chose to register here.

Hope I haven't offended anyone...!

Bob we dont discuss workings here. Everyones just having a bit of fun reinforcing that. When you get it you'll soon see that it is in fact quite a simple working and you'll wonder why you hadnt thought of it sooner. But thats the beauty, its so simple you wouldnt think of it!!

YOU LOT!! I know we want to discourage talk of secrets and the seeking of secrets but do let people know you are only joking when posting like this thread!!! You are naughty!! But I love you!!!

answer to bobs post about ordering and polite reminder to read the rules as we all did when we joined.

question regarding first post.

if you invent a magic prop please let us know how it works then we can tell anyone who askes how its done then they wont need to buy it from you, everyones a winner.
this is the joke part hinting that if we all did like some other forums i'd be homeless and starving.
