The only one I know about is the Thames Valley Magicians Guild, you can find out more from Ian Ewers on 01869 246618 - think they meet monthly in Bicester.
As for joining requirements, first requisite is an interest, second is that you usually do either an audition (which is not as daunting as it sounds, you're among friends and they have all had to do the same!) or a talk on an aspect of magic (history, a trick and it's genus or something related to the preformance of art) and then you're a probationer for a period and then bingo - you're a grown-up!
Joining a magic club or society is absolutely the best thing you can do - peers, lectures, demonstrations, performances and sales (and that's the car park before they meet!!!).
