I agree on the audience management, I concur that it's a valid genuine technique that requires practice.
But all this talk of 'balls' all the time, like it's some kind of buzz word. THIS is the new Godwins law of magic.
Anything can go wrong, and at anytime, irrespective of how experienced you are. Does everything require 'balls' to pull off? As I see it, others will rightfully disagree, we're all different. A method is a method is a method, a means to an end. As for feeling worried when doing it, I'm sure everyone is more worried about different methods. Colin's Bookless test doesn't scare me, because the logic makes sense. When I have to do a billet peek, that scares the bejeezus out of me.
Don't mean to be argumentative, just claiming that no-one else does XYZ because they don't have the 'balls' just doesn't hold water.
P.S Have I said 'balls' enough yet?
