There are plenty of ACRs, but to be honest they all are based on the same method. As to getting caught, I think you probably need to practice your technique more. It isn't really a routine when you can have loads of misdirection, as the routine requires the audience to be looking at the deck for most of the time. A card to shoe finish is described in Expert Card Technique. Other than that, I think you just have to practise the D.L. more so it is perfect. The routine is quite repetitive, so your technique on the D.L. has to be really good to keep getting away with it. I sometimes get caught in the ACR, and all I can put it down to is not performing the D.L. well enough.
Daryl's Ambitious Card Routine DVD has plenty of interesting things which you could use to put together your own ACR.
Hope this helps.
