I know this because I recently had a chat with the USPCC people, when arranging to have my own cards printed.

That's interesting because I've got the thicker stock from somewhere and I'm sure I'm not making it up. So this either used to be true or someone somewhere is guilty of false advertising. Regardless of what you've been told, in my experiance, tally-ho's stand the test of time better than bikes. Here's an example.
I had a deck of tally-ho's in a bag on the floor of a train. Some b***** didn't take their cup of coffee with them when they got off and so during the ride it fell on the floor slowly soaking into my bag, and the deck within. After letting the deck dry the cards aren't warped, spread and fan smoothly and just generally they kept going.
Alternativly I remember having a deck of bicycles in a pocket one day when I was caught off guard by the rain. These cards were all warped out of shape and generally as useful as a pack of cards you'd find in a christmas cracker.
This may just be me defending my favourites but I'm not against bicycles. I just think this is an impressive comparison when you consider the first deck soaked up coffee, not even just water like the other.
I definatly recommmend them.
