Well they did it again.
Grouped several Magic Acts together and stopped them in mid trick.
The lad with Modern Art was doing well but he was a bit stiff trying to move like a dancer--which I do not think he was.
The magician with, The Chair Exchange as Sub Trunk but on a chair with the magician tied, covered and quickly was out of the ropes and a girl, suddenly appeared, tied there in hisplace -- He DESERVED a better chance.
The HAIRY monstrosity--should have been buzzed by all the moment he stepped onto the stage.
I am all for comedy in Magic and comedy done in a different way, but he was DREADFUL--belongs in the Post on Magician's Tatty Outfits.
The hairy wig was a cross between a demented St. Trinians pupil and an alien from outer space.
And the young lady assistant, was left with her head in the Head Chopper. He could not have cared less.
WHY will magicians have ladies kneel on the floor in this trick????? It is embarrassing to the lady, possible dangerous to her dress and b****y uncomfortable for her.
Why not do as Kalanag did? have a small fold down/open up little platform so she can just bend a little and kneel on it.
My jack Hughes Head Chopper ( made for the late Frank Baumforth) had such a small platform and the Chopper could be used for a Leg Chopper. as well.
BUT please, any Leg Chopping magicians-- never use volunteer lady for this version,--use your own assistant.
IF you do not have an asssitant-leave the Leg Chopper out of the Act.
FINALLY A FIRST FOR MAGIC.
On came 2 foreign lads.. Different. One bound the other's eyes and mouth with tape.
"The Most Difficult Card Trick In The World''' was the patter line.
SIMON & One of the lady judges were so anxious to Buzz.
David Walliams signed a chosen card. The lady selected a number
The young magician took it back to the stage, folded into 4. The card--vanished
The taped lad named the card
It was supposed to appear at the chosen number but did not
IN GREAT GLEE AND POKER FACED SIMON AND THE LADY BUZZED.--the other 2 waited.
The taped magician tore off the tapes and the chosen, signed card EMERGED from his mouth--verified by DW.
NOW SIMON APOLOGISED & said -- he should NOT have BUZZED. And he liked the trick and it baffled him!!!!!!
3 CHEERS for Magic
3 More cheers for the 2 young magicians--BRYNOLF & LJUNG.
Unfortunately they were not selected for the semi finals--athough several DUD Acts were.
THEY are the ones to MAKE the viewers Vote for the Simon Favourites.
