Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

Seconded !

Pay particular attention to the 'Koornwinder' Gimmicks (Sp?), far more accurate than a B.C.

As for the free choice, best bet is probably a psychological force.
Instead of cuts-to, you might want to look at an effect called 'Finger Flipper' the spectator names a card, and flips over a portion of the deck with a finger, cutting directly to their card, far more visual. David Blaine did it on Orlando Bloom in one of his specials. It's in 'Card Fictions by Pitt Harling'
