TalkMagic Book - Contributions

Postby Jordan C » Nov 9th, '12, 10:50

Hey guys

As you may know from another thread, the idea of a TMUK Book has resurfaced with vigour again and we have a small team working on this. Anyone can make a contribution to the book in terms of effects or routines and we will vet them for suitable inclusion.

If you would like to contribute to the book please PM myself, Mandrake, or Lady of Mystery (you can post the name of your effec/routine here but PM us the full script for obvious reasons).

Email for lecture notes and longer contributions is as follows: tmukcontributions@gmail.com

And Lawrence of course - but as it was previously mentioned in another thread he gets a lot of PM's I thought I'd lighten his box!

Lawrence will be playing the biggest role in that he will be overall editor :)

Just one thing I will "encourage" with such a book. . . there needs to be a memorial page dedicated to one particular fallen fellow I believe, in that he gave tirelessly to the board but likewise, many of the members independently. I refer to Allen Tipton

I totally appreciate the sentiment behind this and we will discuss what could be done appropriately given the sensitivity of the matter.

That was a thought in my mind already and I was going to suggest this to the other co-editors. Allen is a MUST for this book

I would sugest that all proffit from this book, should be donated to A Cancer Charity, in Allens name. If this was the case, i would also sugest that celeb magicians are aproached for effects. The Qudos from such names, will greatly improve the sales of this work. And will also improve the amount of contributions to it , as people love being associated with names in a work such as this.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

I genuinely wish i could contribute to this, but my creative side has only just started.....

I suppose i could offer my Flash Paper to rose effect, but it's probably been done a million times and it's just my personal handling on it.

Much love

Aza

I would love to create some paranormal material for the book if that is ok? Maybe an essay or routine ideas

Send us as much as you like, we will then pick and choose what to include. for example, Lee Smith is going to send me his lecture notes for cherry picking from :)
