I handed my 2014 booking form in 4 minutes after getting there on Friday and there were already some completed forms from other people in the box!

Suppose it's time to start thinking up something new to cover the cost of next year's convention now!

This year was my first time over, I had a great time and I'll be going back again next year for sure. Although, I must say, it ended up being more of a drinking convention than a magic one.

Paid for the convention on Wednesday, paid for my hotel today, just waiting for the best deal for train tickets to come up on Trainline and I will be booking those. I am going up on Thursday afternoon this year because lectures start at 1.00. I cut it fine for the first lecture last year and more or less had to run from Blackpool North station to the Wintre Gardens. So I am treating myself to a slow get up and an unhurried start to Friday. It will be interesting to see who is lined up for this year, I thought last year was a good mix. I see they are planning the magic speed dating again. I enjoyed that last year. Roll on February!

Same here, was stood outside queing up on the friday morning so getting there thursday & having a slow day before it kicks off.

Well I've booked my hotel.
Guess I should book a train ticket and perhaps a convention ticket

Any whispers going round about who might be there yet?

I know that we won't get anything official this side of Christmas

CLIVE WEBB AND DANNY ADAMS - the hilarious visual comedy act

PETER MORETTI - presenting his farther's acts with the Cardboard Sword Box and the Crossbow

MEL MELLERS - making a return visit after his sensational comedy debut in the 2013 Gala Show

JAY SANKEY - He returns to Blackpool every 3 years with new material which everyone enjoys.

ALDO COLUMBINI - will compere and present Close Up and Lecture.

WAYNE DOBSON - will host his very popular "Wayne Dobson and Friends show.

PAUL MEGRAM - will present his children's magic Lecture.

There will be an AUCTION in the Pavillion Theatre commencing at 1:00pm

THE FOUR F's COME TO BLACKPOOL - Obie O'brien has for many years produced the famous close up convention called "Fetchter's Finger Flicking Frolics", (known affectionally as the Four F's). We are delighted to inform you that Obie has kindly agreed to help organise many world class close up performers who have starred at his convention. Expect big names galore.

Anyone know of a secure car park somewhere near the Winter Gardens that I can dump my car late on Friday evening and pick it up again on Sunday evening about 5pm? Ideally without needing to remortgage first.

I've had a search online but I'm still seeing one or two references to car parks that seemed to have disappeared when I was there last February.

Any advice from anyone in or near Blackpool would be great?
