One post here says that he dislikes being asked about Dynamo & can he do what he does.

I have to say that I enjoy being asked about him or any TV magician. Why? Because the chances are they've never experienced close up magic in person before & it's a great opportunity to shine.

Several times I have performed magic after a chat about Dynamo & the reaction has been "Wow, that's even better than him!".

Sure I'm not the only one this has happened to & yes, it feels good to receive such compliments.

Too many magicians seem to be hung up on criticising those on TV rather than riding the popularity wave of magic that they create for us.

One professional I spoke to recently said he has no problem in begin compared to Dynamo or any other TV magish. If a spec asks if he can do the same trick as (insert name of TV magish here) the professional just says 'No, but I can show you the stuff they had to cut out of the show because it was too dangerous (or other reason)" and does something good from his usual routine!
