As with singers, TV celebs, film stars etc the British media, especially the so called 'newspapers' love to hype them up on to a very high pedestal then take malicious delight in knocking them down again. Sometimes the descent is probably justified but our 'meeja' don't care about any such subtleties. Now all such things are online in an instant and, to a certain extent, untraceable it can only get worse. We've seen here on TM how trolls and troublemakers can just post their venom and slink off back to their swamps leaving no discernible trail. The scumbags can't resist such opportunities but fortunately for us, the first 5 posts here don't appear until approved and, as we delete upwards of 30 items of spam a day, they don't see the light on TM very often.
Not having seen the specific item mentioned above I can't comment but I certainly hope the guy who gossips and slanders gets taken to one side and have the error of his ways explained to him, physically if necessary.
