Classic force to the friends.

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

To me, magic has always been about improv. You have to adapt what you do, to who you do it. That is why I generally know 3 or more ways to do the same effect. Especially if it is one I know I will be asked to do again. That way I can use the moves from the previous hand to makes the moves of the next hand. Whats my point? You cant expect something to work for everyone. And a force like the classic force is to be used when you feel it is right, when the people are right and when the situation is right. You cant force magic. It just happens.

I find that rather then forcing single card. I give them maybe an extra choice while fanning throught the deck. so if they pass on the first card there is always a second or maybe even a third card i can use to my lesiure, depending on how i had shuffled the deck before hand.

Maybe if you knew say the 3rd and 5th after, you would have more of a scope for error. If they go in, then change speed but they miss your card.. you could still try to get them on one of those cards...You could quite easily have 3 tricks set up to follow, depending on which card they took. Or have the same trick set up for the 3 different cards..

Food for thought, anyways. I too am very new to (classic) forcing...
