I'm happy because some of my ex customers don't want me to retire and are arranging transport for me to parties there arranging.
but I'm also sad because i can't do as much entertaining as i used too.

ive got a good idea for the future involving a laptop a powerd chair and a wireless audio link sort of metal mmikey style (now there' a blast from the past).
if there are any technobods about i'd realy like to use the wirless / centreno to send the audio to the amp but I'm not sure if theres anything like that around, at the moment i use a standars wireless mike link, actualy its a dual chanel setup with a seperate wirless mike. :?: :?:

Disco man - If you're looking for help with the wireless networking stuff send me a PM with a little more detail, I'm a network consultant, getting heavily involved in wi-fi technology at the moment, I'm sure i can give you any advice you need.

Thanks,

Rob

In japan all the major cities are running at 50 and 100mb connections .... we are currently rolling out 24's in london! ... will be a while before us rural southeners get it.

Yup... our phone line has been approved for 24Mbps, though me and the flatmates are still deciding whether to switch.

There's a 10 working days downtime period, and we run all sorts of stuff on our server... plus there's currently no available static IP option.

UKOnline say it's UP TO 24Mbps, which means you'll probably never see it due to the contention ratio.

But the option is always there, so if we get it, I'll post back and tell you how unbelievably fast it is!
