I presume by "some street magic to people you know," you are meaning more than a couple of times?
Before you do a party I'd suggest you have performed for real people all the effects you plan on using many times. You need to consider that at a party things may be somewhat different to in your living room with 2 friends. For example everyone may be standing or they may all be sitting so you need to be prepared for both. Some may be standing while others are sitting, which has an effect on angles. You may have people behind you, it's not always possible to have your back to the wall, again so angles can be an issue. If you rely on tables to perform your magic on, you may find there are none. Noise levels will be likely to be much higher than your used to. People may come over half way through a trick and then ask to see it from the beginning.
These are some of the issues you need to consider when moving from a performance for a mate to a party. What kind of advice are you looking for?
If your difficulty is just getting the opportunity to perform, then I suggest that when your at the next party, you just get on to the topic of hobbies, at some point you can then mention performing magic is one of yours. If there is any interest at all someone is bound to ask to see some and away you go.
