Pedey...
That's completely profound and philosophical posting!
To add:
The Daryl video has been described (by yours truly, no less) as 'a complete encyclopedia of ambitious card routines'... which, in my mind, it is.
It's a good foundation for the Ambitious Card effect, and proves that there's more than one way to skin a cat (no comments, please Mr. Mog!!!).
Use it as a reference guide - but be aware that it's not necessarily the definitive guide. As your magic skills progress, you will find many ways to perform the 'card to top of deck' routine. They will go far beyond the ones described by Daryl.
This DVD offers a great insight into what's possible - and right down to the aforementioned 'killer ending' there's quality teaching being done.
But, as always, don't let this be your final lesson: read, learn, watch and explore. Magic is a voyage of discovery and creativity - there's quite often no right or wrong way to perform an effect.
