I saw it this week and it was ok. The swearing is stupid and out of context - just some guy shouting over everything. Non of the magic was really amazing, although I did really enjoy the guy in his head rubix cube routine, that was pretty good fun. The hypnosis was also hilarious.

Dont know why they have such a big box to produce a small animal at the start though? And its lips dont move.

I thought it was obvious why there is no lip movement from the presenting animals...
They are all highly trained ventriloquists.

I did like the rubiks cube routine and saw this advertised online earlier in the week on a magic web site. I can;t remember where it was now and can't find it. Never mind.

Still not overly impressed as a whole and definately agree that the swearing is unnecessary.

I was disappointed with this again this week. The wheelie bin escape was good, and I liked the needle through arm, but after that I didn't like it.
Again, I didn't like the hypnosis bit. It's the same stuff that we've all seen a million times, and it seemed a little bit 'fake', I think.

when he scooped the "girl" in his arms she appeared to be VERY light.

I agree here, It really looked very odd.

I also think the swearing was just put in, in an attempt to be 'cool', or 'risque', but I just think it sounds silly out of context. As a piece of Friday night entertainment, I don't rate this show, I'd much rather watch Jonathan Ross, or 'Paparazzi secrets' was on ITV at the same time, now there's a show!!

Hi

I loved this weeks show as it is the first time I have seen magic on T.V for a long time.

The needle through the arm was well done and my friends who were with me enjoyed it much more than I thought they would.

The routine with the rubicks cube was very well done and a pleasure to watch and I especially liked the card trick at the end.

The sword swallower was well a sword swallower and I have always liked them about the same as foot jugglers but my friends loved it as for the swearing I presume this is in there to appeal to the younger generation and make sure the show is aired at the right time .

Escapologist was cool too

The microwave trick was fabulous and it was wonderful too see so many different acts on a show it reminded a little of magic shows of old apart from the swearing monkey that is.

I don't watch much television but this is one program I will continue to support magic needs exposure and I really enjoyed watching it..

I found the shows magical content pretty much the same as last weeks, it was entertaining I guess, and although I am not at all offended by bad language, I really like Jerry Sadowitz humour etc. but I found the swearing really out of place. It does not go with the rest of the show at all. I know that Bez, speaks like this all the time, but why bother to get him to do the voice over?

I enjoyed the giant microwave routine the most! Not a big fan of stage magic, but thought that was very entertaining.

This show was definitely better than last week's - I enjoyed the Rubik's Cube routine as it was better structured than previous sessions. Sadly, Stuart and Barry seem to have used the same process to start both this weeks' and last week's programme and the appearance of the Lemur also made use of it. I guess someone needs to reflect and see if there are any other methods they can use! Being an old dinosaur, I didn’t like the voiceover swearing, totally pointless and took so much away from what was actually the best bit of new TV magic seen for a while.

Hello. I watch Dirty Tricks too! To all those who slag it off - get lost! Hahaha! I know Stuart and Barry (the Rubik's Cube/Violin Knife Guys). Did you watch their earlier series Magick? Go to www.2magicians.com or www.channel4.com/magic to find out more!

Thats a very VOCAL first post bud ... introcuce yourself in the introductions section ... post a 100 posts or so and we'll started to listen to what you have to say.

Stuart and Barry are pretty irritating ... you cant deny it.

Not exactly a good way to introduce yourself. If you'd checked through the previous posts here you'd see that Magick was discussed in great detail and was both criticised and praised. The range of opinions here at TM is wide but universally telling those who don't agree with you to 'get lost' is not something we take all that kindly to.

Hello All

Just been reading through all of your posts after doing a search on the Dirty Tricks show.

I went to watch the show being filmed a while back and took part in one of the sketches. (Not sure if it's been screened yet - hope so, as that would mean no one has noticed the dodgy outfit they made me wear!)

They never gave away any secrets during filming, but then I'm not a professional! The only experience I have is from playing with my Paul Daniels magic kit when I was a kid!

I haven't watched the show on TV as yet, but from what I have seen that they showed when I was there, it was quite entertaining to me. Personally I do like to be up close when I'm watching magic (curious cat that I am!) but as far as easy Friday night TV with a take away goes, this goes down just fine! But then what do I know, I'm just a model!

If you're thinking of sticking around the TM Forums, you should post an introduction from yourself.

It's always good to see new members round here, we're a friendly bunch... honest!
