French is pretty good fun, but only when you're talking to French people.
Strangely, it came in handy in Tunisia, too, where they speak French as a second language!

Maths was a favourite of mine too - and it helps with Magic, in some ways! It's strange, but I remember being a bit of a 'jack the lad' at school, and wondering why I'd need to know about quadratics, pythagoras and the like - but actually, I do use them in every day life - and I wish I'd tried harder at school.

Good luck for the maths - are you allowed to use calculators these days??? I took two ballpoint pens into the exam which had some formulae written on slivers of paper inside - and I got a 'B' at GCSE level maths! But I don't recommend trying it!

I think Mog is meditating somewhere - we've spoken briefly this morning, but he works odd hours, at night I think. So he's probably catching Z's at the moment.

As far as magic goes, what sort of magic are you into??? There's lots of great resources for 'Begicians', and we'd be happy to get you started (after your academic marathon is over, of course!)

Later...

Mog...

In that case, please forward the *censored* pics to me at:

toomuchandyou'llgoblind@dirtyoldmen.uk.com

and I'll just confirm your suspicions...

NSF...

I'm a graphic/web designer, and although I don't use equations EVERY day ( ), pythagoras comes in to play a lot when working out exhibition stand dimensions, quadratic solving is used in some database applications - and can also be used to spot number patterns and solve percentage/relationships in aspect ratios.

General mathematics is something that I have to use all day - working out proportions, aspect ratios, currency conversions, hexadeciamal > decimal conversions, spreadsheet calculations, database programming ...

(seige pauses for breath, realises he's becoming a boring old fart, and digressess...)

Anyway, well done - if you think you've done well, that's a good sign. You'll have to reward yourself with another visit to a JP gig.

Also, you've broken the record for the number of names being assigned to a member:

1: Katie-Rae
2: NSF
3: Nutty, squeaky fan
4: Begician
5: Magi-ess

Congratulations are in order...!

Hey, don't hog the 'sad old git' crown...

And don't pass the 'wise' crown all the way over - the wisdom I have is attributed in part to the 'sad' part of the other crown :?:

Whether sad, wise, old or just a git (or all 4!!!), please don't take the fact I've made 419 posts as anything more than the fact that I can type very quickly!
